Kenneth Village is just your average, small town village where everything you need is contained in just a few blocks and everyone you see is someone you know. Except this one is located in the heart of Glendale.
Here are just a few of my favorite spots in the village:
Audrey K - Woman's Apparel and Accessories. This is the place to come for retail therapy. Emphasis is chic feminine style with a slight mid century vibe, this place is hip, cool and very affordable. Audrey used to be a buyer for a major department store and this girl knows how to pick out the very best stuff! Go to her site an bookmark it because she has frequent events and sales. They are not to be missed.
Yoga at the Village - owned and operated by the indomitable Elyse Briggs, Yoga Village has become the nexus point for the truly interesting people in the neighborhood. The class schedule is full and varied and the extra stuff, like teacher trainings, musical events and the amazing Cabaret Nights. These nights feature performers from our own neighborhood and they are always a blast.
Ivy's Flower Station - occupying a historic gas station, Ivy's Flower Station was an instant style icon. The arrangements are worthy of any high- falutin' celebrity serving westside florist, but the prices and service are pure hometown. Classes and accessory sales round out the mix.

Chirs and Tom's Liquor - not your standard Thunderbird and Vitamen Water stop. I am told by a "cork dork" friend of mine that this store has a great selection of wine a t very good prices. I'm not in a position to say, check it out for yourself!
Village French Bakery - DO NOT go here if you are on a diet. There is no. way. to. resist. Seriously! The cookies, alone, are cause for major diet infractions.
Itzza Knitterie - you know I love me some knitting! This is a great resource with friendly staff, warm and inviting atmsphere and tons and tons of help. If you always wanted to learn, Maritza and her staff is the place to go.
