Chevy Chase Canyon runs from Glenoaks Blvd. all the way through to La Canada and the Rosebowl in Pasadena. Architectural styles vary widely from 1930's character homes on the canyon floor to 1960's track homes and soaring contemporary homes in the hills. Some homes enjoy spectacular city and canyon views and the only planned communities in Glendale are here: Rancho San Rafael and Fairoaks Canyon.
Wildlife is abundant and the residents feel a close connection to nature while only moments from the freeway entrance. The historic Chevy Chase Country Club, built in 1925, serves as a neighborhood focal point.
The Chevy Chase Homeowners Association is one of the most active and politically astute associations in the city. Their aim is to protect the hillsides from over development and to protect the buccolic way of life in the canyons.
Notable homes are the Derby House and the Calori House, both built by Lloyd Wright, son of the renowned Frank Lloyd Wright.
